Super su - Root Checker Superuser/SU

Super su - Root Checker Superuser/SU review

The Google Play app for SuperSU is a super-user management tool that helps you control root permissions on your device once it is rooted and solve permission problems encountered in phone root management. You can think of it as giving administrator permission to the apps on your device.

Design 9/10

The design is simple enough for anyone to understand and is also pleasing to the eye, so I give it a 9/10. The main SU window gives you three options: apps, logs, and settings. The main interface for granting apps permissions is a pop-up that shows the app name, type of access, permissions, logging, and force user. On this pop-up, you can delete, accept, or close the selected option. You can also customize the app and use different themes and icons.

Functionality 9/10

I rate Functionality at a 9/10. The APK download enables you to grant or deny root permissions to apps if and when you need them and keep a log of those permissions. Often, our devices are corrupted or malfunction, and we need to go back and check where the problem is. SuperSU will help manage permissions and keep track of the apps you’ve given root permissions to. You’ll also be able to monitor how frequently the app you have granted permission accesses and uses the root.

With the APK, you can temporarily unroot your mobile device and troubleshoot your phone when trapped in boot loops. You can also unroot your phone in recovery mode, which requires flashing your phone in CWM recovery and unlocking the phone in the bootloader. With this latter option, you’ll need to download a recovery image and a SuperSU zip packet compatible with your Android mobile. SuperSU also supports CyanogenMod ROMS and offers full color-coded command logging, with different color output for I/O errors. The latest version provides a bug fix for installation errors.

The Android app is free to download, and there are no in-app purchases. However, you can get a pro version of the same offering extended features at $3. SuperSU is an app for all Android devices running Android 2.3 and up, a great majority of gadgets. However, the app isn’t compatible with iOS.

Ease of Use 7/10

Although new users may understand very little about rooting and granting Super User access, the app is relatively easy to use. I’ll give it a 7/10 for this reason. The interface provides you with general direction as to what to do with on-screen prompts. Anyone can check the SuperSU website for guidance on how to use the app. The app rarely crashes, and there are frequent updates to counter any bugs.

Final Opinion

I recommend this app as a superuser management tool for any Google Android device, and I’ve had a good amount of success with this app. SuperSU isn’t the leading root management tool, but it is simple enough to use, is quite fast, and offers several rooting options. With this app, you can comfortably keep track of all the permissions you assign to your device.

Pros:

  • Pleasant interface
  • Fast rooting process
  • Offers various rooting options such as bootloader, CyanogenMod, and Android COM

Cons:

  • Unable to uninstall other root ware
  • Doesn’t completely fix boot loops
  • No iOS version
